Visiting Artist Lecture: Roy Samaha

American University of Beirut Cordially invites you to a presentation by video artist

Roy Samaha

Roy Samaha is a video artist living and working in Beirut.  He has a  Masters degree in film and video studies from USEK, Lebanon.  Titles include The Red City in Black and Light 20?(2000); Video for the end of time 10?(2006),and Still Life Moving Death 18?(2008).  His videos have been screened at The 14th international festival for electronic arts:Videobrazil (Sao Paolo) 2003; Middle Eastern art practice forum: Disorientation (Berlin) 2003; Liquid Cities Micro Museum Brooklyn (New York) 2008; Cruel Weather, Peacock Center of Modern Thought (Aberdeen, Scotland) 2009.  He has a forthcoming Solo exhibition ?On an Empty Mind,? scheduled for January 2010 at Espace Kettaneh Kunigk, Beirut.

Visiting Artist Lecture: Tarek Chemaly

Tarek Chemaly, author of Archewallogy (see attached), will be speaking on Wednesday Dec. 9th in Nicely Hall room 408. He will be giving his lecture twice so that the maximum amount of people are able to attend. The first will be from 2:30-3:30pm, the second from 3:30-4:30pm.
